The goal
With the start of FY24 approaching, the Web Experience Collective (WXC) at Microsoft detailed five top priorities, their goal was to design posters that represent each priority.
The priority
Designers from across Microsoft (Windows, Engagement, Maps & Mobile, GEMS and XD) united to create a set of posters, each with their own distinct personality. I was assigned priority #5.
"Focus more on our customers and their experience with our our products. We will look at new ways to take the pulse of our customers to capture insights — both pain points and new ideas — in order to ensure we are creating global products that are inclusive, useful, and delightful."
The design
Illustration trends have moved into the 3D and AI world. I wanted to bring back an aesthetic that has proven over the years to be a real keeper, flat design. It gave me the freedom to break the rules on anatomy and ‘how things should look like’, and to create characters that feel relatable and approachable.
